8:00 pm concert

7:00 pm pre-concert talk

Cañada College Main Theater

4200 Farm Hill Blvd, Redwood City, CA 94061

  • Eric Kujawsky, conductor
  • Gustav Mahler Symphony No. 6

There is no other Mahler symphony like this; the massive, epic finale – complete with hammer blows of fate – foretells much of the composer’s life, including the loss of a child. The moments of light that briefly shine through are achingly luminous by comparison. With one of Mahler’s largest orchestras and presented without intermission, this is Redwood Symphony’s third complete Mahler symphony cycle under Maestro K!

Please note: This concert is performed without an intermission. Latecomers will only be seated between the 2nd and 3rd movements, approximately 35 minutes after the performance begins.
